بساطم خالی از مرغ کباب استنہ در جامم می آئینہ تاب است
I have no roasted fowl on which to sup; no mirror-shining wine is in my cup;
میرا دستر خوان مرغ کے کباب سے خالی ہے —
میرے جام میں قیمتی شراب بھی نہیں۔
غزال من خورد برگ گیاہیولی خون دل او مشک ناب است
Upon green grasses grazes my gazelle, yet fragrant musk filleth his heartblood up.
میرا ہرن گھاس کے پتے کھاتا ہے —
مگر اس کے دل کا خون مشک نافہ کے خون کی مانند (خوشبودار ) ہے۔
