جہان یک نغمہ زار آرزوئیبم و زیرش ز تار آرزوئی
The world is a symphony of aspirations and desires —
Its bass and treble tuned by aspirations and desires.
یہ دنیا بس آرزو کا ایک نغمہ زار ہے —
اس جہان کا زیر و بم آرزو ہی کی تار سے وابستہ ہے۔
بہ چشمم ہر چہ ہست و بود و باشددمے از روزگار آرزوئی
To my eyes, whatever is, was, or will be —
Is but a moment in the time of aspirations and desires.
جو کچھ ہے، تھا یا ہو گا (حال و ماضی و مستقبل) وہ میری نگاہ میں ہے —
اور یہ تمام، زمانِ آرزو ہی کا ایک لمحہ ہے۔
