تو میگوئی کہ آدم خاکزاد استاسیر عالم کون و فساد است
‘A child of earth is Adam’, thou dost say. ‘Bond to the world of being and decay’;
تو کہتا ہے کہ آدم خاک سے پیدا ہوا ہے —
اور اس جہان کا اسیر ہے جہاں (ہر طرف ) فتنہ و فساد ہے۔
ولی فطرت ز اعجازی کہ داردبنای بحر بر جویش نہاد است
Yet Nature wrought a miracle indeed – the seas foundations on his fount to lay!
مگر فطرت نے اپنے اعجاز سے —
اس سمندر کی بنیاد (آدم کی) ندی پر رکھی ہے۔
