تو ای کودک منش خود را ادب کنمسلمان زادہ ئی ترک نسب کن
Leave childishness, and learn a better lore; abandon race, if thee a Muslim bore.
اے طفلانہ مزاج اپنا احترام کر (ادب سیکھ) تو مسلمان زادہ ہے(اولاد ) ہے حسب نسب ( کا چکر) چھوڑ (نسب پر فخر کرنا چھوڑ دے) ۔
برنگ احمر و خون و رگ و پوستعرب نازد اگر ، ترک عرب کن
If of his colour, blood, and veins and skin the Arab boasts – an Arab he no more!
سرخ رنگت اور ذات پات اور رنگ و بوست پر اگر عرب (بھی) گھمنڈ (ناز) کرے تو عرب چھوڑ دے ۔
