نہ پیوستم درین بستان سرا دلز بند این و آن آزادہ رفتم
In this garden's embrace, my heart never did dwell —
From the bonds of here and there, I've walked away free and well.
میں نے اس باغ (دنیا) میں دل نہیں لگایا میں اس کے بندھنوں (دنیاوی علائق و آلائش) سے آزاد رہا ہوں ۔
چو باد صبح گردیدم دمی چندگلان را آب و رنگی دادہ رفتم
Like the morning breeze, for a moment I roamed around —
Gave the flowers their hue and dew, then left without a sound.
صبح کی ہوا کی طرح پل دو پل گھوما پھرا ۔ پھولوں کو تروتازگی دے کر چل دیا( مراد ہے کہ میں نے اپنی زندگی کو دوسروں کے فائدے کے لیے صرف کیا ۔ یہی عشق کا مقصد حیات ہے) ۔
