زیان بینی ز سیر بوستانماگر جانت شہید جستجو نیست
You will find only loss in exploring my orchard —
If your soul does not seek the eternal truth.
تو میرے باغ کی سیر سے نقصان کی بات دیکھے گا ۔ اگر تیری جان جستجو کی ماری ہوئی نہیں ہے ۔
نمایم آنچہ ہست اندر رگ گلبہار من طلسم رنگ و بو نیست
I reveal what is hidden in the veins of the flower —
My spring is not merely a charm of outward color and fragrance.
میں دکھاتا ہوں جو کچھ پھول کی رگوں میں چھپا ہے میری بہار خوشبو اور رنگ کا دھوکا نہیں ہے ۔ مراد یہ ہے کہ میں اپنی شاعری کے ذریعے زندگی کی حقیقت کو واشگاف کرتا ہوں ۔ میرا کلام (بہار) محض لفاظی (طلسم رنگ و بو) نہیں ہے بلکہ حقیقت رس ہے اور اس لیے حقیقت نما ہے ۔
