عقابان را بھای کم نہد عشقتذروان را ببازان سر دہد عشق
Love diminishes the eagle's worth to mere trifles —
And empowers the humble sparrow to challenge falcons.
عشق عقابوں کا مول گھٹا دیتا ہے (عشق کی نظر میں عقاب کوئی شے نہیں ) ۔ عشق چکوروں کو بازوں پر فوقیت دیتا ہے ۔ مراد ہے عشق کسی کو خاطر میں نہیں لاتا ۔
نگہ دارد دل ما خویشتن راولیکن از کمینش بر جہد عشق
Our heart vigilantly guard itself with care —
Yet from its hidden ambush, Love strikes unaware.
ہمارا دل اپنی بہت حفاظت کرتا ہے ۔ لیکن عشق اسی کی گھات سے (نکل کر) جست لگاتا ہے (حملہ کرتا ہے) ۔ عشق (جذبہ محبت) ایک فطری جذبہ ہے جو ہر انسان میں کارفرما ہے ۔
