مکتبوں ميں کہيں رعنائي افکار بھي ہے؟خانقاہوں ميں کہيں لذت اسرار بھي ہے؟
The schools bestow no grace of fancy fine; Cloisters impart no glow of Love Divine.
منزل راہرواں دور بھي ، دشوار بھي ہےکوئي اس قافلے ميں قافلہ سالار بھي ہے؟
The goal that Travelers seek is far and wide, Alas! There is no chief to lead and guide.
بڑھ کے خيبر سے ہے يہ معرکہ دين و وطناس زمانے ميں کوئي حيدر کرار بھي ہے؟
No less than Khyber, the war of faith and land, but warrior like Ali is not at hand.
علم کي حد سے پرے ، بندہ مومن کے ليےلذت شوق بھي ہے ، نعمت ديدار بھي ہے
Beyond the bounds of science for faithful thrall: Is bliss of love and sight of God withal?
پير ميخانہ يہ کہتا ہے کہ ايوان فرنگ!سست بنياد بھي ہے ، آئنہ ديوار بھي ہے
