تو اے اسير مکاں! لامکاں سے دور نہيں
English title: O Prisoner of Space! You are not far from the Placeless Realm
تو اے اسير مکاں! لامکاں سے دور نہيںوہ جلوہ گاہ ترے خاک داں سے دور نہيں
In bondage of space, thou art not far from heaven; the empyrean is not distant from thy earthly home.
وہ مرغزار کہ بيم خزاں نہيں جس ميںغميں نہ ہو کہ ترے آشياں سے دور نہيں
That rose-embowered garden, immune from winter’s frost; is closer than it appears to thy grief-tricken soul.
يہ ہے خلاصہ علم قلندري کہ حياتخدنگ جستہ ہے ليکن کماں سے دور نہيں
What the ways of the ascetic teach – is that all life! Is like a flying arrow, not far from the bow.
فضا تري مہ و پرويں سے ہے ذرا آگےقدم اٹھا ، يہ مقام آسماں سے دور نہيں
Thy reach is far above the spheres of the moon and stars; if thou but venturest forth, the heavens are not too high.
کہے نہ راہ نما سے کہ چھوڑ دے مجھ کويہ بات راہرو نکتہ داں سے دور نہيں
On the tortuous path of love, the traveller who knows may ask his guide to leave him, to seek a lonely trail.
