مجو از من کلامی عارفانهکه من دارم سرشتی عاشقانه
Seek not of me the gnostic’s‐verse and prose, As I hold the nature of faithful beaux.
مجھ سے عارفانہ شاعری کی خواہش نہ رکھ (تلاش نہ کر) کیونکہ میں عاشقانہ فطرت رکھتا ہوں ۔
سرشک لاله گون را اندرین باغبیفشانم چو شبنم دانه دانه
The poppy like tears in this garden main, I am flowing like dew drops grain by grain.
میں اس (ملت کے) باغ میں لالہ کے پھول کے سرخ آنسو شبنم کی طرح دانہ دانہ کر کے بکھیر رہا ہوں ۔ یعنی اپنی شاعری کے ایک ایک لفظ کو ملت کے افراد کے ذہن و قلب میں سمو رہا ہوں ۔
