دلی در سینہ دارم بی سروری

دلی در سینہ دارم بی سرورینہ سوزی در کف خاکم نہ نوری
This heart in my breast, without ecstasy, this handful of earth, devoid both of light and flame,
میں اپنے سینے میں بے سرور و کیف دل رکھتا ہوں ۔ میرے جسم میں نہ عشق کی تڑپ ہے نہ نور ہے ۔
بگیر از من کہ بر من بار دوش استثواب این نماز بی حضوری
take it away from me, for it’s unwelcome burden: this reward of prayers, said so absent‐ mindedly!
مجھ سے واپس لے لے کہ اس بے حضور نماز کا ثواب، یہ میرے کندھے پر بوجھ ہے ۔
