می من از تنک جامان نگہ دارشراب پختہ از خامان نگہ دار
Keep my wine away from petty‐minded, let my ripe wine be out of reach of raw hands;
میری شراب کو تھوڑے پیالے پینے والوں (کم ظرفوں ) سے بچا کر رکھ، پختہ شراب کو خام یعنی نا اہل لوگوں سے بچا کر رکھ ۔ شراب سے مراد شاعری میں دیا گیا پیغام ہے ۔
شرر از نیستانے دور تر بہبہ خاصان بخش و از عامان نگہ دار
better if a flame be kept away from reed‐field, bestow it on the elect, keep it from common folk!
چنگاری کا نرسل (یا بانس) کے جنگل سے زیادہ دور رہنا ہی بہتر ہے ۔ میری شراب خاص لوگوں کو عطا کر اور عام لوگوں سے بچا کر رکھ ۔
