جو محمود غزنوی کی سلطنت کے لیے حسین دلہن تھی جس دلہن کے ہاتھوں پر مہندی لگانے والوں میں سے ایک دانا طوس بھی تھا ۔

اس کی خاک میں حکیم غزنوی جیسا بلند مرتبہ سویا پڑا ہے ۔ ایسی شخصیت جس کے ترانے سے بہادروں کے دل اور بھی قوی ہوتے ہیں ۔

وہ حکیم غیب اور وہ بلند مرتبہ شخصیت ایسی ہے جس کے ذکر سے مولانا روم جیسی ہستی کی نیم پختگی کمال کو پہنچی ۔

میں ظاہر کی بات کرتا ہوں اور وہ پوشیدہ سے سرور میں ہے ۔ ہم دونوں کا سرمایہ ذوق حضور سے ہے ۔

اس سنائی نے ایمان کے چہرے سے نقاب اٹھایا ۔ میری فکر نے مومن کی تقدیر کو ظاہر کر دیا ۔

ہم دونوں نے قرآن کریم کی حکمت سے سبق لیا ہے ۔ وہ سنائی حق کے بار ے میں کہتا ہے اور میں مردان حق کے متعلق بات کرتا ہوں ۔

میں نے اس سے کہا کہ اے روح کے بھیدوں کو دیکھنے والے ۔ تجھ پر یہ دنیا بھی اور وہ دنیا بھی روشن ہے ۔

our age is infatuated by material things symbolised by water and clay, which raises problems without end for those godly.

ہمارا زمانہ آب و گل پر فریفتہ ہے ۔ اہل حق مشکل در مشکل میں پڑے ہیں ۔

مومن نے انگریزوں سے جو کچھ دیکھا سودیکھا ۔ ان کی وجہ سے حرم کے اندر فتنے اٹھ کھڑے ہوئے ۔

Since the believers sight was not disciplined by the heart, the glamour of the West bewitched his eyes.

چونکہ اس مومن کی نگاہ نے ادب دل سے حاصل نہیں کیا ۔ اس لیے اس کی آنکھ جلوہ افرنگ سے چندھیا گئی ۔

O you seer of the hidden, leader of the knowing once, by whose beneficence the rawness of the seers became mature,

اے غیب کو جاننے والے ۔ عارفوں کے سردار (سنائی) تیرے فیض سے خام عارفوں نے پختگی پائی ۔

whatever is there hidden behind the veil, let me know; may be the wave once past should come back in the stream.

جو کچھ غیب کے پردے میں ہے وہ بیان کر ۔ ممکن ہے اس طرح آگے گزرا ہوا پانی پھر ندی میں واپس آ جائے ۔
